Internal audits are performed to review ongoing compliance of the enterprise’s activities to the NFAS Standards and appropriate corrective and preventative actions are undertaken when non-conformances are identified. |
QM3 | Quality Records |
Records are kept that provide documented evidence of the enterprise’s compliance to the NFAS Standards. |
QM4 | Document Control |
All documents relevant to the NFAS Standards are controlled enabling the review of their currency and that out of date or superseded documents are withdrawn and replaced with the new version. |
QM5 | Chemical Inventory |
Only legally obtained and properly labelled chemicals are available for use on the property and that an accurate inventory of all chemicals purchased and stored on the enterprise is maintained. |
QM6 | Review of Product Requirements |
Proposed arrangements for the sale of product being certified through the application of NFAS Standards are thoroughly reviewed prior to acceptance by the Feedlot. |
QM7 | Product Recall and Notification of Nonconforming Product |
Systems are in place to identify Non-conforming product and respond immediately following a predetermined plan |
QM8 | Risk Assessmennt & Contingency Planning |
Systems are in place to identify and mitigate the impact of potential emergency situations. |
QM9 | Critical Incident Response Plan |
Systems are in place to identify Critical Incidents and respond immediately following associated actions in a predetermined plan. |
QM10 | Calibration |
Systems are in place to ensure that equipment used to measure and weigh are regularly cleaned and calibrated. |
